Brief description of self: I’m a leader not a follower.

Long Description of self: My artwork is an extension of my personal taste. I paint because it brings me peace, joy and a great deal of satisfaction. The type of art that I’ve been doing for the past few years is called “Fluid Acrylics” or “Fluid Art”. It’s an art form that allows you to create one of a kind pieces without traditional brushwork. I have always loved abstract art but never had the imagination to create it. It wasn’t until I stumbled across a video showing how to create “Fluid Art”, that I decided to give it a try…it’s a lot harder than it looks. After a couple of years of trial and error I began to perfect my techniques. I noticed that the majority of the paintings I was seeing were very colorful, I hadn’t seen too many black & white paintings. I decided to see if I could develop some unique black & white paintings using the techniques that I had learned along the way. Now not only are they my favorite but they’ve caught the attention of some very interesting people, the most recent being a heavy metal band….which resulted in an album cover. It pays to stick to what you love doing.

Favorite part of the creative process: I really love mixing paint, it’s probably the most relaxing part of my process.

The most challenging part of the process: The hardest part of mastering “Fluid Art” is finding the right consistency for each technique. One drop of water, silicone or pouring medium can change the whole outcome. There’s a fine line between right and wrong.

How creativity betters my life: It brings a sense of peacefulness that is indescribable.

Advice to other aspiring artists: If you believe in yourself, others will too. And it’s never too late to try something new.
